How do we communicate?

Sneakers, orangutan and chewable toothpaste… Kamoulox?

We have three main lines of communication: our products, our actions in favor of NGOs and our sustainable “lifestyle” favourites. Each of these axes corresponds to distinct objectives, even if the whole is closely linked.

First our sneakers. When we talk to you about our products, the goal is not to push you to impulsive consumption but rather to make you want to opt for a more responsible brand when you need to change your sneakers. Because we believe that moderate and reasoned consumption is the first step towards a more sensible economy. We want at all costs to avoid riddled you with paid advertisements but rather let you know that we exist and then make you want to follow our various actions via our networks. By doing this, we hope you will remember us when choosing your new pair of sneakers.

On the other hand, we will regularly talk to you about the various actions carried out in favor of our partner NGOs and the impact that we (you + us) have on the ground. We want to show you that when you buy a pair or (even better) join a workshop with us, it really does make a difference in these endangered natural spaces. We want full transparency on the results so that you know how your money and/or time has been invested.

Finally, as mentioned in the second article presenting our mission ( here as a reminder), we want to talk with you about everything that inspires us and makes us move towards a more responsible way of life. The objective is to push you to do a little better on a daily basis by sharing any information, any great initiative or any good idea that we believe deserves to be known.

Speak louder ! Express yourself

If you've read our previous articles, you should be getting used to our way of writing (and thinking). We are fighting for a more than serious cause and believe that the best way to achieve our ends is to speak to you with transparency, remaining true to our personality. The hour is serious but our tone will not be . We prefer to convey positive and motivating messages even if we do not hide the face. If we are great optimists by nature, we are nevertheless rather worried about the future of our planet. Curl up on your couch depressing or try to do what you can on your scale with a smile? We chose the second option. We prefer to celebrate small victories without being satisfied with them, to remain lucid but above all to remain motivated to do better. We want to inspire you and make you want to progress without ever giving moralizing lessons. No one is perfect and blaming people for what they do wrong doesn't lead to much. We are convinced that a funny, energetic and positive person (or a brand) will have a much better chance of leading other people in their path, inspiring them, making them want to do things differently. On the contrary, someone embittered, pessimistic and moralizing will only reap indifference (at best). We are fully aware of the urgency of the current situation, it is up to us to get the message across in an intelligent way to get as many people as possible with us.

Through which channels?

You can find most of the important information on our site, especially on the A Step Closer blog. We obviously use the traditional networks Instagram ( here ), Facebook ( here ) and LinkedIn ( here ) for the bulk of our communication. We therefore invite you to follow us on these different accounts to be kept informed of our exciting news (yes exciting). We are also aiming for regular appearances in specialized media around the theme of sustainable development (blogs, podcasts, radio/tv shows, etc.). You can also come and give us a kiss (or a Covid-friendly nudge) at certain events (such as the Impact trade show in October, for example).
