We do not use any animal materials in the design of our products. For what ? Millions of animals are killed every year to make the sneakers we wear. The livestock industry is one of the most polluting in the world. It is also directly associated with deforestation and the loss of natural habitats for wildlife.

We work with European suppliers and control the origin of each of our materials to ensure that they do not come from areas associated with deforestation (in particular our rubber). In addition, each material that makes up our sneakers is either biosourced or recycled. We thus limit the use of virgin plastic material as well as our water consumption.

Our production partners are all located in Europe. Our assembly workshop is in Portugal when our material suppliers are in Italy and Spain. We therefore maintain a short circuit production chain. Beyond knowing our partners well, this allows us to reduce the carbon footprint related to transport.

In order to meet the challenge of end-of-life products, we are working with a Portuguese sole supplier who has set up a recycling program. We will soon be able to give your old sneakers a second life.

A minimalist design, low impact materials, short circuits, sufficient solidity to cushion the environmental cost and we're all good?

Almost, but we forget the essential: energy. The production of electricity via fossil fuels is the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce our energy footprint, we therefore chose an assembly plant 75% powered by solar panels. In the same way, our Portuguese insoles supplier reaches 90%!

To go further in this wildlife-friendly approach, we have created the #STEPCLOSER program. We support local initiatives to protect endangered wildlife, where it is urgent. We invest 3% of our time and turnover in this program.
